Sustainable tourism: An introductory seminar for CBT representatives took place within the framework of the EU Program
Today, on July 4, 2022, an introductory seminar “Sensitisation on Sustainable Tourism Practices among local CBT MSMEs” was held at the office of the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTА).
The seminar is organized by APTA and ACTED within the framework of the European Union Program Switch Asia: under the project «Promoting Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy production in the Community-Based Tourism Sector in Central Asia».
The seminar was attended by CBT representatives from the regions of Uzbekistan.
Seminar speaker: environmental certification consultant - Gayrat Gaziev.
During the introductory seminar, discussed such topics as: the role and place in the sustainable development of management systems, the policy in the field of environmental certification in the tourism sector of Uzbekistan, ISO 14001 environmental management systems, initiatives on corporate social responsibility (CSR), reforms carried out in the republic in the field of green technologies, prospects for the development of energy towards sustainable tourism.
Following the results of the seminar, the participants exchanged views, and also received qualified answers to their questions on the topic of sustainable tourism.
