The study of the potential of CBT tourism in the Fergana region continues

From June 27 to June 30 of this year, the 2nd «community assessment» was carried out in the Fergana region. Specialist of the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTА) - Ludwig Frank studied the potential of CBT  tourism in the Sokh region.

This working trip is organized within the framework of the «Silk Road CBT Initiative: Connecting Central Asian Community-Based Tourism and European Markets» of the European Union Program “Central Asia Invest V.
 
The purpose of the «community assessment» is to hold meetings with local authorities and entrepreneurs to motivate families in villages to open family guest houses and identify suppliers of other tourism products. And, also these studies provide an opportunity to assess the tourism potential of the region as a whole and to identify tourist attractions and travel routes.
 
As part of a 4-day visit to the Sokh region, the APTА specialist met with the hakim of the Sokh region - Sayidmusaev S., as well as with the deputy hakim, head of the investment and foreign trade department - Safarov A..

During the working trip, a complex of marketing studies of the possibilities of the area in the direction of the SVT was carried out. The tourism potential of mahallas was studied: attractions that can be included in the development of the territory, infrastructure, the potential of local entrepreneurs to open a family guest house.
 
Recall that from June 15 to June 18 of this year, APTA's experts conducted the 1st «community assessment» in the city of Rishtan, the villages of Avval and Vodil.
