Reclassification of family guesthouses in Bukhara: results and perspectives

Specialists of Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) have reclassified family guest houses in Bukhara.
Four family guesthouses, including "Nemo Guest House", "Eshoni Pir", "Turkiston" and "Golden Degrez", which received one star each in 2023, submitted a request for re-classification.
APTA experts, after carefully studying the request, decided to organize a reassessment for family guesthouses seeking to upgrade their category.
As a result of the re-classification, the family guesthouses "Turkiston", "Nemo Guest House" and "Eshoni Pir" received three stars each, while "Golden Degrez" was rated at two stars.
The initiative is organized in Bukhara city by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) and supported by the Bukhara Regional Tourism Development Department to improve the quality of services and competitiveness of family guest houses under The USAID Future Growth Initiative.
Further plans include reclassification of family guesthouses in other cities of Uzbekistan such as Samarkand, Khiva, etc., to improve the quality of services and competitiveness of family guesthouses. These steps are aimed at improving the quality of tourism services and developing hospitality in the country.
