Bukhara is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia, its history goes back over 2500 years. Here you feel as if you are in an "Eastern Tale". Therefore, all guests of Bukhara try to enjoy the amazing ensembles of the fairy-tale city, tread the same paths and paths as the great conquerors, thinkers and sages. It attracts travelers from all over the world like a magnet, the number of tourists is growing every year and a significant part of the city's population is employed in the field of tourist services. However, the growth of tourist traffic requires both an improvement in the quality of service, and an improvement in infrastructure. Therefore, there are many problematic issues in the tourism sector that require urgent solutions, and their solution requires well-coordinated joint work of representatives of government agencies and the business community.
This is facilitated by the meetings of the APTA Networking Club, initiated by the Association of private tourism agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA). Within the framework of the APTA Networking Club, representatives of government agencies and businesses in the tourism sector have an excellent opportunity to discuss in an informal setting all problematic issues that hinder the development of the industry.
The location for the meetings of the APTA Networking Club is always determined by cities with great tourism potential. The first two meetings of entrepreneurs and government officials were held in Tashkent and Samarkand. The third meeting of the APTA Networking Club took place on October 5 in Bukhara. It attracted a lot of attention from representatives of travel companies, hotels and family guesthouses. The event showed that there are a lot of issues of concern to entrepreneurs, and the range of topics is extremely wide.
Representatives of the travel industry are very worried about the shortage of highly qualified personnel for the travel industry. An equally important topic was the issue of improving the infrastructure, which is extremely necessary for a comfortable stay of tourists. Particular emphasis was placed on improving the leisure time of tourists. After all, this will increase the number of days tourists stay in the city and, accordingly, will increase income growth.
Taking the opportunity, entrepreneurs proposed interesting projects for implementation that will help make the stay of tourists in Bukhara more comfortable and exciting.
The participants of the meeting were able to receive competent and detailed answers from the representatives of the Khokimiyat of the Bukhara region to the questions raised. The khokim of Bukhara region Uktam Barnoev spoke about creative activities and prospects in the tourism sector of the region.
Within the framework of this meeting, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Khokimiyat of Bukhara region and the Association of private tourism agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA).
The meeting within the framework of the APTA Networking Club in Bukhara once again showed that it is the format with personal communication between entrepreneurs and representatives of government agencies that is the best way to determine the most optimal ways to solve urgent problems and form a well-coordinated interaction between government agencies and business structures.
