Support for business entities: The term for granting an interest-free grace period for tax payments is extended until the end of the year

During the coronavirus pandemic in the Republic of Uzbekistan, in accordance with the Decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev No. UP-5969 "On priority measures to mitigate the negative impact on the economic sectors of the coronavirus pandemic and global crisis phenomena" and No. UP-5978 "On additional measures to support the population, economic sectors and business entities during the coronavirus pandemic ", measures are being taken to expand social support for the population, to ensure the sustainable functioning of economic sectors.
In particular, business entities were provided with benefits and preferences.
On April 27 of this year, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev signed Decree No. UP-5986 "On additional measures to support the population and business entities during the coronavirus pandemic" 19, socially vulnerable segments of the population and business entities.
According to the Decree, from April 1, 2020 to October 1, 2020, the procedure for compensating interest expenses on loans from commercial banks by the State Fund for the Support of Entrepreneurship also applies to existing loan agreements of business entities.
And also, in accordance with the Decree, the term for granting an interest-free deferral (installment plan) for the payment of taxes on a simplified basis, provided for in paragraph 6 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP -5978, is extended until December 31, 2020.
