This project is very timely and relevant in terms of contributing to our government's efforts to promote rural people, who have suffered mainly from the COVID-19 pandemic, have lost their jobs and income. It also helps us educate the younger generation in the post-pandemic period and increase its resilience to future challenges, ”Aziz Abdukhakimov said in his speech.
As reported at the conference, the goal of the project is to assist in improving technical and vocational education and training in the agricultural and irrigation sectors, as well as developing employment skills in rural areas of the republic.
An important component of the new program remains - modernizing teaching and training in colleges, managing colleges, introducing new methods of developing skills in agriculture, introducing digital and online offline teaching methods in rural areas, introducing new farming methods based on international and national innovations. ... Rural workers will be provided with new skills needed in the agricultural sectors, including high-tech agriculture, advanced mechanization, remote sensing, the use of GIS / GPS drones, robotics, biotechnology, the use of big data analysis and artificial intelligence, and more.
The new project will improve the quality, relevance, efficiency and effectiveness of the agricultural skills development system, and will help develop, test and introduce new initiatives and approaches in the agricultural sectors with the aim of expanding cross-cutting practices, high-tech agriculture and food production, and innovative approaches across the country.
The total amount of the project of the Government of Uzbekistan jointly with UNESCO and the European Union "Development of employment skills in rural regions of Uzbekistan", calculated for 4 years is 9.6 million euros.
Aziz Abdukhakimov assured that the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan is always ready to closely cooperate with our international partners in the implementation of this important proposal and to make full use of its multiplier effect.
For reference: In 2018-2019. great work has been done within the framework of the Obod kishlok state program to improve the living conditions of rural residents, modernize infrastructure and improve 895 villages. Taking into account demographic changes and the needs of the population In 2020-2022, about 800 villages were repaired and improved under the "Obod kishlok" program.
Along with the modernization of the infrastructure of our villages, the Government pays special attention to the maximum realization of the economic potential of each village, each region of the republic. Initiatives such as the Tourist Village project and other projects create the necessary incentives for growth and development. An important factor in the success of initiatives in this direction is the attraction of foreign experience and modern technologies.
