A new vector for the development of CBT tourism in Uzbekistan.

The second phase of the project “Development of CBT-tourism in Uzbekistan, by increasing professional competencies of rural population” has been launched, implemented by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan with the support of the project of USAID's Future Growth Initiative.

The project is aimed at increasing the potential of the tourism business in Uzbekistan and creating conditions for new jobs. As part of the second phase, it is planned to develop and implement a classifier for family guest houses. At the first stage, the classification system will be introduced in three regions: Bukhara, Jizzakh and Samarkand regions.


This initiative is being implemented for the first time in Uzbekistan and will further improve the quality of services provided. Training seminars will also be organized for CBT representatives in Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions, in addition, a large educational video library will be created for CBT representatives.

It should be noted that, in the first phase of the project was carried out 15 training sessions, which was attended by over 300 participants. It was implemented in three regions of the country - Bukhara, Jizzakh and Samarkand regions.
