World Adventure Travel Summit is taking place in Switzerland
On October 3 this year, the ADVENTURE TRAVEL WORLD SUMMIT (ATWS) kicked off in Lugano, Switzerland.
The World Adventure Travel Summit organized by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), and it is the largest global network of adventure travel leaders.
The World Adventure Travel Summit (ATWS) is for tour operators, adventure travel writers, travel boards, industry partners. The Summit is more than just a conference, it's a global gathering of industry representatives that offers in-depth educational content, renowned keynote speakers, and endless networking opportunities—both structured and remote—including the tour operators market.
Representatives of the tourism industry from Central Asia participate in the summit as part of the USAID Future Growth Initiative Program. In particular, representatives of the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTА) take part in the World Adventure Travel Summit from Uzbekistan.
As part of the summit, on the first day, was organized an info tour for tourism industry specialists. The participants got acquainted with the sights of the city of Lugano, visited the Breggia Goeges & Cement Trail Museum.
On the sessions, tourism specialists consider topics such as: the relevance and importance of protecting animals and nature (the ecosystem and its importance for adventure tourism), digital business transformation: communication strategies, climate stability, sustainability initiatives, insurance, cycling tourism, travel photography and travel story idea publishing promotion (WALKSHOP), content marketing, etc.
The World Adventure Travel Summit runs through October 6, 2022.
