As part of a pilot project, the process of classifying family guest houses started in Samarkand

On February 28 this year, as part of a pilot project on the classification of family guest houses, the process of classifying family guest houses in Samarkand was launched.

The draft classifier for family guest houses, as well as the badge of rating stars and the certificate were developed by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) as part of the USAID’s Future Growth Initiative (FGI) project "Development of CBT tourism in Uzbekistan by improving professional competence of rural residents. Phase II.

This initiative will allow family guest houses in Uzbekistan to receive rating stars, which will improve the quality of services and competitiveness.

It is worth noting that 40 family guest houses in the Bukhara region have previously passed the classification process.

In total, within the framework of the USAID’s Future Growth Initiative (FGI), 100 family guest houses in Uzbekistan who have expressed a desire to become a participant in a pilot project and be assessed in accordance with the draft classifier will be classified on a grant basis.
