Note that Bavaria is the largest federal state in Germany in terms of area. It is located in the South and Southeast of the country and borders Austria, the Czech Republic and Switzerland. Bavaria has the largest economic and scientific potential of the 16 federal states of Germany and is the leader in terms of economic growth. The annual GDP of Bavaria is about 600 billion euros. This region is considered the locomotive of the German economy.
In turn, the Bavarians are one of the most avid tourists not only in Germany, but throughout Europe. Munich International Airport named after Franz Josef Strauss, which is the second largest airport in Germany by the number of passengers served after Frankfurt, provides flights with almost 250 cities around the world. Munich Airport handles more than 40 million passengers annually and is the base for the German national airline "Lufthansa".
In this regard, from April 2020, it is planned to start regular air traffic on the "Tashkent-Munich-Tashkent" route.
According to statistics, the number of German tourists visiting Uzbekistan last year has almost quadrupled compared to the previous period. A significant role in this was played by the introduction by the Uzbek side of a visa-free regime for German citizens, as well as the growing popularity of the tourist destination of the "Great Silk Road".
“This, of course, is not at all the limit for the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. It is necessary to attract more travelers' attention, to carry out a large-scale and effective PR campaign, including within the framework of large tourism exhibitions and fairs, ”notes Alexandra Kramer, tourism development manager of the largest German exhibition company "Deutsche Messe AG".
