Field audit of the APTA Uzbekistan to the health center Rano Eco Village: Sustainable Development and International Standards

On April 27 this year, a group of specialists from the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) together with European experts on sustainable tourism conducted a field audit in the health center Rano Eco Village. This visit took place within the framework of the USAID Future Growth Initiative Project and is aimed at assessing compliance with international sustainability standards.

Rano Eco Village, located in a picturesque corner of Uzbekistan, attracts attention with its unique approach to recreation and health improvement. APTA experts and specialists inspected the resort's infrastructure, including the hotel complex, as well as familiarized themselves with the environmental initiatives and eco-values that form the basis of the center's work.

Particular attention was paid to the resort's compliance with the standards of the Good Travel Seal program, which is an international certification system for tourist facilities that comply with the principles of sustainable development. Experts assessed how the wellness center manages its resources, minimizes its ecological footprint and promotes the preservation of cultural heritage.

This inspection is part of a broader initiative to support and develop sustainable tourism in Uzbekistan, which includes not only improving services and facilities for visitors, but also caring for nature and the local community.

The audit findings and recommendations will be used to further improve the operation of Rano Eco Village and other similar facilities in Uzbekistan, which contributes to the country's attractiveness as a branch for environmentally responsible tourism.
