The training participants were introduced to a wide range of topics, from the basics of sustainable tourism, awareness of the Good Travel Seal program, to more specific aspects such as sustainable procurement, social responsibility, creating good working conditions, preservation of cultural heritage, introduction to environmental management, waste management, as well as marketing and communication strategies.

The first two days of the seminars were dedicated to the theoretical part, where participants studied principles and methods in depth. The third day was aimed at practical application of the acquired knowledge: the participants conducted an entry audit in two hotels, where they assessed their current state in the context of sustainable development.

At the end of the training, the participants gave their presentations outlining the developed recommendations for hotels to improve sustainability.

These recommendations are aimed at helping hotel establishments not only to improve their environmental performance, but also to strengthen their position in the tourism market by increasing their attractiveness to conscious travelers.
