Airports will cut rates for aircraft maintenance

Uzbekistan Airports will cancel the rate for servicing arriving passengers at all regional airports from March 1. Previously, it was 110 thousand soums per passenger.
The Uzbekistan Airports company on its website announced a reduction in rates for ground handling of aircraft of foreign airlines at the airports of Uzbekistan.
From March 1, at all regional airports, the rate for servicing arriving passengers will be canceled (previously the rate was 110 thousand soums per passenger) and the rate for handling cargo for cargo flights of foreign airlines will be reduced - from 2.6 million to 1.6 million soums.
Along with this, the cost of service in the Business Lounge of the International Airport of Tashkent has been reduced for business class passengers of foreign airlines - from 990 thousand to 700 thousand soums per passenger.
"Reducing the costs of foreign airlines for flight services at the airports of the republic is aimed at reducing the cost of air tickets for the population of the country and foreign tourists, in addition, reducing tariffs for handling cargo will contribute to the further development of the country's export potential," the statement said.
Earlier, Transport Minister Elyor Ganiev said that Uzbekistan will attract foreign airlines to airports by reducing prices for aviation fuel and dues. The deputy head of the Ministry of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov noted that the prices for air tickets are planned to be reduced due to low-cost airlines and optimization of tariffs.
