Tax experiment is launched in Bostanlyk region

From May, jet skis, paragliders, trestle beds and other recreational facilities in the Bostanlyk region will be taxed. Leisure services can be provided only after registration.
A tax experiment is being introduced for a year in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region on May 1, the press service of the State Tax Committee reported, citing a government decree of February 20.
This area was chosen because a large number of tourist sites are concentrated there, the report said.
From that date, jet skis, quads, paragliders and hang gliders, as well as trestle beds and similar rented recreational facilities will be classified as a source of income for individuals and are subject to taxation.
As part of the experiment, all objects of movable and immovable property will be registered for free with the issuance of an appropriate certificate (identity). Leisure services will be provided only on the basis of a registration certificate.
“This innovation is a requirement of the times. It is aimed at simplifying the procedure for registering taxation objects, protecting consumer rights and improving the sphere of tourism services in the Tashkent region, ”said Sulton Obidov, deputy head of the State Oil Company.
He added that the specialists of the State Oil Company will closely cooperate with the State Committee for Tourism Development.
It is expected that in the near future in Gazalkent, gatherings of citizens of mahallas "Dustlik", "Sidzhak" and "Novobod", there will be four support tax points, whose employees will begin the procedure for registering movable and immovable property specified in the decree and subject to taxation.
The requirements of the document do not apply to individuals providing services in family guest houses, therefore, in parallel, the legal status of summer cottages, cottages and other real estate rented and registered as family guest houses will be studied.
The collected information will be integrated into the STC database, and will also become available to everyone. For this, the Unified Electronic Platform is currently being developed.
