The creation of a unified ticket system is planned to be entrusted to Uzcard
It will be a website where you can buy both transport and other tickets. In early January 2019, the President signed a decree on additional measures to develop tourism.
The document instructed to create a single electronic portal of the transport system within three months, where one can buy tickets with convenient flight connections (bus, air and rail). It was noted that the portal should be blockchain-based.
At the end of April 2020, the Ministry of Culture submitted for discussion a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the creation of this portal. It is noted that the project was developed in accordance with the aforementioned presidential decree and government instructions of March 26, 2020.
The draft document proposes to create a United Electronic Ticket Sales Portal LLC, which will become the operator of the ticket sales system being created.
It is planned that 51% of the new company will receive the "United Republican Processing Center" (Uzcard brand), the remaining 49% - the Fund for the Development of Culture and Arts under the Ministry of Culture.
The operator will develop the site, will support its work with the right to charge a commission. On the website it will be possible to book, buy, return tickets, as well as mechanisms for connecting agents.
The unified system will be integrated with the ticket sales systems "Uzbekiston Temir Yullari", Uzbekistan Airways, "Uzavtovokzal Service", sports facilities and others. Blockchain is not mentioned in the project.
