The International University of Tourism "Silk Road" will add a specialization in cultural heritage
According to the Presidential Decree of October 30, 2021 "On measures to further improve the system of continuous training of qualified personnel in the field of tourism, cultural heritage and museum business", the International University of Tourism "Silk Road" in Samarkand was renamed the INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF TOURISM AND CULTURAL HERITAGE "SILK ROAD".

In this regard, the new university will be the basic university of the SCO member states for training personnel in the field of tourism, cultural heritage management and museology, scientific personnel and restorers, with its own branch in Tashkent.

The Silk Road International Research Institute will be established at the University, which will open:

-The Silk Road Museum
-The Silk Road Art Residence
-The Silk Road Art Gallery
-Center for retraining and advanced training of restorers

We especially want to note that the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA), represented by Chairman Israilova Gulchehra Bahodyrovna, was included in the Board of Trustees of the Silk Road University.
