In Bukhara, the owners of family guest houses - participants of the pilot project were awarded certificates of assigning a category to a family guest house
On 2nd March of this year, in Bukhara, in the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Bukhara region, a ceremony was held to present certificates of awarding the family guest house category to the owners of family guest houses.
Categories (from one to three stars) were assigned to family guest houses based on the results of the classification, which took place as part of a pilot project on the classification of family guest houses.
Certificates to the owners of family guest houses were presented by the Chairman of the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan Israilova G.B. and the Deputy Head of the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Bukhara region Bobokalonov S.R.
A draft classifier for family guest houses, as well as a badge of rating stars and a certificate were developed by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan as part of the USAID's Future Growth Initiative (FGI) project "Development of Community Based Tourism in Uzbekistan by improving the professional competence of rural residents.Phase 2".
Based on the results of the evaluation of family guest houses in the Bukhara region, in accordance with the draft classifier, out of 40 family guest houses, a category (from one to three stars) was assigned to 19 family guest houses (47.5% of the above accommodation facilities - participants in the pilot project) .
There are: 2 family guest houses are assigned the category "three stars", 6 family guest houses have been awarded the category "two stars" and
11 family guest houses have been rated "one star".
The certificate of category assignment by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan is valid for three years from the date of issue.
