Warn tourists in which places smoking is prohibited

The new version of the law “On Restricting the Distribution and Use of Alcohol and Tobacco Products” expands the list of places where the use of tobacco products is prohibited.

The document not only specifies the list of public places, but also spells out what exactly is meant by tobacco products. These are non-smoking products, products containing nicotine and electronic cigarettes. The law lists public places as follows:

  • Shops and catering
  • Places of cultural recreation
  • ‍Leisure venues
  • Museums and libraries
  • All types of transport
  • Bus stops and parking lots
  • At the entrance to the metro, train stations, airports (at least 5 m)
  • Near the gas station
  • Airports, train stations
  • Public enterprises
  • Medical institutions
  • Hotels, hostels
  • Playgrounds
  • Porches and elevators
  • Parks and beaches
