With the financial support of the European Union, within the framework of the SWITCH-ASIA program and the MOST project, a new guide was published - “Policy recommendations, improving the legislative basement in the field of sustainable tourism”.

The publication is issued in Russian and English and presents policy recommendations for the development of sustainable tourism in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

These policy recommendations are useful for MOST beneficiary countries faced with sustainable tourism policy choices, so that best practices, evidence and research can help inform decision-making.

The content is based on extensive online research and developed with the participation of the Educational Development Company PLOIGOS, European Profiles S.A, APINTECH, the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA), the Eurasian Tourism Association, Lauku ceļotājs, as well as the Tajik association for the promotion of tourism (TATO).

Within the pages of the guide you will be introduced to best practices for sustainable tourism, the current position of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of sustainable tourism, a SWOT analysis and policy recommendations for the Republic of Tajikistan, the current position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of sustainable tourism, a SWOT analysis and policy recommendations for the Republic of Uzbekistan.
