New horizons in the tourism sector: APTA announces the launch of a new project
The Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) announces the launch of a new regional project called “Increasing level of sustainable tourism development through the introduction of certification, the use of digital tools and cross-border cooperation.”
This project will be implemented within the framework of the USAID Entrepreneurship and Business Environment Development Project.
As part of the project, a number of activities are planned to achieve the set goals, including:
Creating a basis for certification of sustainable tourism at the local level.
Conducting the international tourism exhibition “Tashkent Travel Mart – 2024” in B2B format.
Development and promotion of combined tours in Central Asia.
Organization of a competition among travel journalists from Central Asian countries.
Classification of family guest houses and assigning them a star category.
Organization of on-site training to improve the level of digital knowledge and competencies of owners of family guest houses.
