In order to restore the tourism industry and increase the flow of foreign tourists to Uzbekistan, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development has developed the “Uzbekistan. Safetravel GUARANTEED ", which is a new system of sanitary and epidemiological safety for tourists based on world standards.

To implement the system “Uzbekistan. Safetravel GUARANTEED "at tourist enterprises, business entities must comply with the requirements of the relevant state standard, undergo training and receive a certificate for the provision of sanitary and hygienic safe services, after which tourist sites (hereinafter referred to as sites) will be included in the Register of Safe Sites.

For this purpose, the safetravel.uz website was developed and launched. This site contains a training course and an application for certification. The site functions in Uzbek and Russian.

Objects that have expressed a desire to enter the Register of Safe Objects must comply with the requirements of the state standard O`z DSt37.001-2020 “System of standards for safe conditions for enterprises. Recommendations for the provision of safe tourist services in the objects of the tourism industry ", which provides for the provision of sanitary and hygienic safe services to tourists. The recommendations of this standard apply to services provided in the tourism industry, in particular in accommodation facilities, in transport, in public catering and entertainment, educational, business, health-improving, physical culture and sports facilities.

To take the distance online course developed by the Institute for Tourism Development, the responsible representative (employee) of the middle or top-level facility must go to the website and fill out a registration form in the "Registration of Participants" section. After completing the questionnaire, go to the "Training Course" section and then follow the instructions. This course is designed for self-training of a responsible specialist - UzSTG manager and reveals systemic and practical knowledge of the essence of the main provisions, principles and norms that ensure sanitary and hygienic safety in an organization. To receive an electronic certificate of listening to an online course, the student will need to pass the final test. After successfully passing the test, an electronic certificate will be sent to the specified email address.

After receiving a certificate from the Institute for Tourism Development, the object must apply for certification according to the “Uzbekistan. Safetravel GUARANTEED ". To do this, go to the "Certificate Authority Questionnaire" section and follow the instructions. After meeting all the requirements and on the positive results of certification, the facilities are issued a corresponding certificate and a special distinction "Uzbekistan. Safetravel GUARANTEED ". Further, the object will be included in the Register of Safe Objects on the Safetravel.uz website.

The certificate is valid for 12 months from the date of its registration.

The procedure for certification of accommodation facilities, transport, catering facilities, and entertainment, educational, business, physical culture and sports facilities, as well as tourist services based on the requirements for the provision of sanitary and hygienic safe services is reflected in the Regulation "On the procedure for certification of tourism facilities and adjacent infrastructure and tourism services based on the requirements for the provision of sanitary and hygienic safe services ", approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 602" On support of the tourism industry entities and the development of tourism infrastructure in the economic situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
