How to improve the capacity and sustainability of an organization?

Such questions are a constant concern of leaders and employees of public organizations and trade associations. An increase in organizational capacities can be achieved by improving the management structure and the structure of their activities. It is important that these improvements increase the consistency and thereby achieve a synergistic effect. The Association of private tourism agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) is a non-governmental, non-profit public organization that was founded in 1998 on the initiative of private tour operators and hotels in the country with the support of the government of the republic. APTA brings together tour operators, representatives of the hotel industry and guest houses. As a public anchor organization in the field tourism, APTA is constantly working to improve its organizational capacities.
Of course, the success of measures for the development of an organization depends largely on its potential.
Achieving long-term and short-term goals, improving competitiveness and making organizational changes require higher levels of professional training for staff and well-planned, well-organized work. A continuous process of capacity building of the organization with regular educational activities helps to achieve these goals.

Another event aimed at increasing the sustainability of the organization and the effectiveness of its activities was the training on the topic "Organizational Development" in the framework of the ACTED regional project "Community-based Silk Road Tourism Initiative: Creating links between tourism based on the communities of Central Asia and the European market" with the financial support of the European Union Program “Central Asia Invest V”. The training took place in Tashkent on September 28-29, 2021.
The result of the training was an improved understanding of the structure of the development of an organization, the basics of strategic planning, as well as the development of necessary measures to strengthen the potential, the implementation of political activities and internal processes of the organization.
