APTA has developed a draft classifier for family guest houses

As part of the USAID Future Growth Initiative Project (FGI), the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) developed a draft classifier for family guest houses, as well as a badge of rating stars and a certificate.

This initiative will allow family guest houses in Uzbekistan to receive rating stars, which will improve the quality of services and competitiveness.

At present, the draft classifier has been sent by the APTA to the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan for consideration and further approval.

When developing the classifier,APTA experts took into account international experience in assessing the quality of services in family guest houses. In particular, the experience of European and CIS countries, including Germany, Great Britain, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, where the classification of family guest houses has already shown its effectiveness and efficiency.

The criteria have been developed by experts, taking into account national values and traditions, to reflect the expectations of consumers in this industry and to ensure that recognition is accurate, consistent and reliable.

The Draft Criteria for Quality Evaluation establishes a scoring system for classifying family guest houses. According to the draft, the categories are denoted by the symbol "*" (star) and are classified into three categories. The highest category is "***" (3 stars), the lowest "*" (one star).
