Training tour for CBT specialists from Central Asia ended in Germany

From September 23 to 28 this year in the framework of the European Union program "Central Asia Invest V" in Germany was a training tour for CBT specialists from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

This training tour was organized by ACTED with the support of the European Union, ECEAT and the Union of Independent German Tour Operators - Association (hereinafter ASR). 

The tour was attended by representatives of the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA), the Tajik Community-Based Tourism Association (TATOS), the Kyrgyz Community-Based Tourism Association (KCBTA), the National School of Hospitality (Tajikistan).

From 23 to 27 September, participants got acquainted with guesthouses and farmsteads in Harztor, went to Harz National Park (Harztor), visited the hotel complex Nature Resort Schindelbruch (eco-friendly hotel) in Südharz, the hotel and wildpark Nordmann. 

In the Nordmann wildpark participants became acquainted with the activities of deer, bison and alpaca farm. 

Tour participants also made visits to Wernigerode Castle and Rammelsberg.

During the aforementioned period, meetings were held with experts in marketing in tourism, Goslar Marketing GmbH in the city of Goslar and head of the cultural institution Aschersleben kulturanstalt - Matthias Poeschel. 

On the last day of the study tour, September 28, CBT specialists met in Berlin with Anke Budde, Vice President/CEO of ASR, and Winfried Schulze, Vice President of Finance of ASR. During the meeting the German side made a presentation on the activities of ASR, the parties discussed trends in the tourism industry, as well as issues of cooperation. 

At the end of the meeting the participants of the study tour made a trip to the organic farm Domäne Dahlem. Here CBT specialists got acquainted with the history of the development of the farm, its activities and visited the museum.
