As part of a pilot project, the process of classifying family guest houses started in Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region

From May 14 this year, as part of a pilot project of the classification of the family guest houses, the process of classifying family guest houses in Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region was launched.

The draft classifier for family guest houses, as well as the badge of rating stars and the certificate were developed by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) as part of the USAID’s Future Growth Initiative (FGI).

This initiative will allow family guest houses in Uzbekistan receive rating stars, which will improve the quality of services and competitiveness.

It should be mentioned that 40 family guest houses in the Bukhara region and 31 family guest houses in the Samarkand region have previously passed the classification process.

In total, within the framework of the USAID’s Future Growth Initiative (FGI), 100 family guest houses in Uzbekistan who have expressed a desire to become a participant in a pilot project and be assessed in accordance with the draft classifier will be classified on a grant basis.
