As part of the pilot project, 23 family guest houses in the Khorezm region and 6 family guest houses in the Republic of Karakalpakstan were classified

In the period from May 14 to May 21 of this year, as part of a pilot project on the classification of family guest houses, 23 family guest houses in the Khorezm region and 6 family guest houses in the Republic of Karakalpakstan were classified.

The project of classifying family guest houses, as well as the sign of rating stars and the certificate were drafted by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) as part of USAID's Future Growth Initiative (FGI) Project.

Based on the results of the assessment of family guest houses, in accordance with the classification requirements, out of 23 family guest houses in the Khorezm region, a category (from one to three stars) was assigned to 15 family guest houses (65% of the above accommodation facilities - participants in the pilot project). In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, out of 6 family guest houses, the category (from one to three stars) was assigned to 3 family guest houses (50% of the above accommodation facilities are participants in the pilot project).

In total, within the framework of the USAID's Project, 100 family guest houses in Uzbekistan were classified free of charge, which shows their interest to become a participant in the pilot project and be assessed in accordance with the classification criteria.

Recall that earlier the classification process was passed by 40 family guest houses in the Bukhara region and 31 family guest houses in the Samarkand region.
